Michelle Renee Ward, 58, of Roanoke, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017. Michelle was preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Ruth Baker Ward and her father, John Duncan McMillan.

Michelle is survived by her sons, Kevin D. Ward and Michael J. Ward; sisters, Deborah A. Burns, Sherri A. Ward, Toni W. Belton (Kenneth), Diane Ward-Robertson (Jeff), and Sheila McRae-Stokes; brothers, Romeo M. Ward, Marcus A. Ward (Felicia), Alphonzo D. Ward, Mark A. Ward (April), and Gerald Hinton; grandchildren, Marquise Ward, Nakyah Christian, Mi’yon Ward, Demiyah Ward, and Kevin John Ward; adopted daughter, Dereka McDaniel; long-time companion, Ronnie Simmons; lifelong friends, Cheryl Price, Marcy Moon, and Ruby Kasey; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Michelle was a social butterfly whose greatest pleasure in life was bringing laughter to her family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church on Saturday, May 6, 2017. Family Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to www.Hamlar-Curtis.com.
