She was born in Rose Hill Community in Giles County on March 28, 1928. She is preceded in death by her parents, Abner Brinkley Helton and Sudie Fire Pilkington, her husband, Grady Eugene Nelson,her son Ron Nelson and her brother, Jimmy Helton.
She leaves behind her daughter Janet(Calvin)Rose of Lawrenceburg, TN, her sister-in-law Mary Jean Helton of Pulaski, TN, her 2 grandchildren, Jason(Cori)Rose and Kevin(Wennie)Rose and her 4 great-grandchildren, Ava Rose, Leda Rose, Bradenn Roll and Abigail Rose.
Visitation will be on Monday, April 8th from 12 p.m. until the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home with the burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
