Peggy (Margaret) Gallagher was born on June 18, 1924 to Leo and Anna (Nash) Skyles. She attended St. Joseph Catholic School and also the Hamilton Business College. Peggy was a housewife and gave 150% to being the best she could be. She always put her family first and worried and worried about all of them even as we got older. She instilled a great work ethic and was always there to support us.
Becoming a grandma was the best gift of all, how she loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Peggy and Harold would of celebrated 71 years of married life on April 24th. The one thing she loved most is when all of us were together – she loved us all so much. Her beautiful smile and her caring ways is something we all will miss.
Peggy is survived by her husband for over 70 years Harold; her children Sue Basye of Hampton, Barb (Bob) Sells of Gilbertville, John Gallagher of Hampton, Ann (Bob) Brus of Las Vegas, NV and Jan (Steve) Abbas of Hampton; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; sister Sister Annette Skyles of Dubuque and 3 sisters-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her four brothers, two sisters, five sisters-in-law and six brothers-in-law.
