Mother Christine Williams Walker was born February 9, 1923, to the late Mrs. Mamie Hill Williams and the late Mr. Fred Williams in Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia. Her early education was in the public schools of Upson County.

At the tender age of twenty, she married Mr. Charlie James Walker on May 19, 1943. To this union two children were born. To help support her family she was employed by Providence Nursing Home as a dietitian for over forty-years. She was loyal, faithful and committed to her job. She was a loving wife who took care of her own household and a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She and her husband shared thirty-five years of marriage until his passing in 1978.

At an early age, she joined Searcy Chapel Church. This congregation later built a church in town now known as Pine Chapel Baptist Church. During her early years, she was a member of Choir, faithful Sunday School attendee, a member of the Mother Board, a member of the Missionary Society, and other activities until her health failed. She supported her church financially and supported its activities. She was a faithful and dedicated member.

Mother Walker was well known and respected in the Lincoln Park community. She was a former member of the Lincoln Park Citizen Club and supported its activities to improve the community. She was a faithful supporter of the Lincoln Park Volunteer Fire Department. During her leisure time, she enjoyed reading the Bible, working in her yard and flowers, and cooking for her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, and two sisters, Ruth W. Little and Louise Sneed. On Monday, morning April 1,2019, her spirit took flight and returned to her Heavenly Father. Her departure has saddened the hearts of her family but her memory will live on.

She leaves to cherish her memory: one daughter, Mrs. Marie Walker Green of Thomaston, GA; one son, Mr. Aldene Walker of Atlanta, GA; one stepson, Mr. Willie James Hicks of Carrollton, GA; eight grandchildren, Mrs. Charlotte Green of Smyrna, GA, Ms. Pamela Green of Thomaston, GA, Ms. Gwendolyn Walker of New York, Mr. Machello Walker of Macon, GA, and Ms. Lisa Battle of Roberta, GA; sixteen great-grandchildren, and twenty great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
