The Monday following Mother’s Day, on May 15, 1995, at 1:52PM, God blessed Kevin Tyrone Steele, Sr. and LaTricia Shanee Steele with a son, Kevin Tyrone Steele, Jr. AKA “TJ”.

Kevin was a proud and faithful member of the True Believers Praise and Worship Sanctuary for over 16 years under the leadership of Bishop C.L. Penix. TJ served in the youth and praise dance ministries, and worked with the security team.

TJ was a 2013 graduate from Malvern High School and a 2018 Honor Graduate from San Antonio College Law Enforcement Training Academy. TJ was recently informed that he was in the final hiring process for the police department in San Antonio, Texas. Kevin was employed at Dynamic Security as the lead officer.

TJ loved his family. He was a “proud momma’s boy.” He embodied the motto “Family Forever.” TJ had a competitive spirit. He worked out regularly, and he called his work outs “beast mode.”

A devoted son, brother, and friend to all the lives he touched. On April 5, 2019, in San Antonio, Texas, TJ had a conversation with Jesus and he transitioned home.

TJ was welcomed home by his loving great- grandparents, Roy and Lue Gene (Granny-Mae) McLemore, and his grandfather, Joe Bailey, Sr.
