Joyce D. Hansen, 85, daughter of William & Vi (Sickels) Feldman, was born September 17, 1932 in Minden, Nebraska. She passed away Friday, April 5, 2019 at Thomas Rest Haven in Coon Rapids, Iowa.

Joyce graduated from Linden High School. Joyce worked at Look Magazine after high school. On March 9, 1953, she married Harold Hansen at the Panora Church of the Brethren. They made their home on a farm south of Bagley. Joyce was a homemaker, worked at Alco in Perry, sold Avon, Holiday Magic, helped with the books at Hansen’s Garage, and worked at the Bagley Library. In 2008, she moved into Bagley. The last four years, she has been a resident at Thomas Rest Haven in Coon Rapids.

Joyce enjoyed making artificial floral arrangements and decorating cakes. She was a member of the Panora Church of the Brethren and the Garden Club.

She is survived by her son, Garold “Gary” (Nancy) and daughter, Twyla (Del); five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brother, Loyd (Carol); sister, Jean (Skip); and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold, daughter, Diana Hansen, son, Duane Hansen, and daughter-in-law, Deb Rogers.

Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M., Thursday, April 11, 2019 at the Panora Church of the Brethren. Burial will be in the Brethren Cemetery, Panora, Iowa. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 10, 2019 from 5-7 P.M. at the Twigg Funeral Home, Panora, Iowa.
