Cheryl “Chrissy” C. Porter, 60, formerly of Axtell, NE passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018 at Madonna – St. Jane de Chantal in Lincoln.

Cheryl was born on June 21, 1957 in Des Moines, IA to Gene C. and Ramona G. (McClaflin) Porter. At the age of 14, she moved to Bethphage (now Mosaic) in Axtell where she spent more than 40 years. She was very outgoing and liked most everyone she encountered. In spite of life’s challenges, she was very happy and smiled brightly anytime she saw a friend at Mosaic or a family member coming to visit. She especially enjoyed watching football on her Dad’s lap on Saturday afternoons and helping her Mom with her rose garden.

Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Ramona Porter of Johnston, IA; brother, Eric Porter and wife Denise of Elm Hurst, IL; sister, Kimberly Cohn and husband Bruce of Glen Burnie, MD; nieces, Rebecca Vogel and Brooke and Blair Porter, as well as a host of Aunts, Uncles, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gene Porter and her grandparents.
