OBITUARY OTEGO, NY-ESTHER G. FAGAN M.D.; Esther G. Fagan, M.D. 96 of Otego, NY passed away Sunday, June 18, 2006 at her home in the arms of her friends John and Pam. She was born May 16, 1910 in Northern Wisconsin, the daughter of Raymond and Bertha Groves who predeceased her, as did her husband James Fagan Jr. and her siblings Willard, Theodore, Susan, Raymond and James. Esther attended Hartwick College and graduated from New York University and Columbia University. She practiced medicine in New York City, Roanoke, Virginia and Hancock, NY. She enjoyed gardening, painting, cooking and sewing. She is survived by her Brother, Robert Groves and wife Helen and their children, a sister Alice Bowman, niece, Penney Groves, and her loving caregivers, John J. Escobar, Pam Morrissey and Kelly Snell. It was Esther’s request that no memorial services or calling hours be held. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to donate to The Catskill Area Hospice and Palliative Care, 1 Birchwood Drive, Oneonta, NY, 13820 in her memory.
