Betty Dale Currence Walden, 81, of Broken Bow, OK passed away April 4, 2019 in Little Rock, AR.
She was born in Bethel, OK December 11, 1937 the daughter of Frances Monroe and Annie Lou (Davis) Dale.
Betty was a member of the First Baptist Church in Broken Bow, OK. She was a 1955 graduate of Broken Bow High School. She married Elwood Currence and moved to Albuquerque, NM later moving to Little Rock, AR with the Air Force.
On October 7, 1977 Betty married Don Walden and the couple returned home to Broken Bow, OK. Betty worked as a teller at American State Bank for eighteen years. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, camping, watching TV and spending time with her grandchildren.
Betty leaves to cherish her memory, daughter-in-law, Kelly Estan Currence of Little Rock, AR; brother, Don Dale and wife, Linda of Jessieville, AR; sister, Frances Morris and husband, Wendell of Broken Bow, OK;
Grandchildren, Jeffrey, Brian, Steven, Kimberlee, Jacob, Kate and Jack; five great-grandchildren, Cidney, Hailey, Colby, Kolton and Brodee; a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, F.M. and Annie Dale; husband, Don Walden; sons, Jimmy and Jerry Currence; brothers, Charles Dale and Harold Dale.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Brumley Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow, OK with Bro. Perry Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Battiest Cemetery, Battiest, OK.
A visitation will be held from 1-2 prior to the service in the Chapel.
