Obituary for Mrs. Jean Apperson Yarbrough
Mrs. Jean Apperson Yarbrough,87, of Sylvester died on Thursday April 4, 2019 at her residence.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday April 7, 2019 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in the New Prospect Church Cemetery. The Rev. Jeanette Elizondo and Mr. Ricky Elizondo will officiate.
Mrs. Yarbrough was born on August 27, 1931 in Turner County Georgia to the late Oscar Jack and Liza Jane Lavender Apperson and had lived in Sylvester most of her life. Mrs. Yarbrough enjoying sewing, going to yard sales was an excellent home decorator. She was retired from Renaissance Rehabilitation Center where she was a house parent for many years. Mrs. Yarbrough was a member of Praise Christian Center.
Survivors include her daughter, Jeanette Yarbrough Elizondo (Rudy) of Sylvester; sons, Donnie L. Yarbrough (Ellen) of Sylvester, Tim Yarbrough (Brenda) of Sylvester, Tony Yarbrough (Veronica) of Sylvester; brother Travis Apperson of Ashburn; 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Yarbrough was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lee Yarbrough on August 25,1983 and a son ,John Mark Yarbrough.
The family will receive friends on Sunday April 7, 2019 from 1:00 PM until the service hour at Banks Funeral Home.
