Arthur L. Jenkins, Sr.
September 13, 1934 - September 29, 2017
Arthur Jenkins, Sr. was born September 13, 1934 in Baltimore to the late Alfred Jenkins and Katherine Dwyer. Mr. Jenkins worked as a home improvement contractor and was a resident of Swanton in Garrett County. He enjoyed hunting and fishing but his faith and his family were most important in his life.
Mr. Jenkins is survived by his sons Arthur Jenkins Jr. of Pasadena, Steven Jenkins and his wife Dalena of Pasadena, Eric Jenkins of Pasadena and David Ritter of Arbutus, his daughters Diane Puller and her husband Robert of Oakland, Rosemary Jenkins of Pasadena, Kathy Gascon and her husband Michael of Grasonville and Jeanette Grimaldi. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Rose Marie Jenkins (nee Fredericks) who passed away in 2015, his daughter Linda Marie Jenkins who passed away on September 19, 2017 and his brother Ronald Dwyer. Arthur L. Jenkins passed away peacefully at his son's home on September 29, 2017.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, October 3, 3-5 and 7-9 pm at Kirkley Ruddick Funeral Home, 421 Crain Hwy. S. Glen Burnie, MD 21061. The funeral will be held Wednesday, October 4 at 11:00 am at Granite Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
