Danny L Burton, 69 of Stuttgart, passed from this life in Fort Smith on Thursday, April 4, 2019.

He was born in DeWitt, Arkansas on July 1, 1949, the only child of Lynn Jr and Billie Meyers Burton in Dewitt, Arkansas. His grandparents, Lynn Burton, Sr; Winifred Ellenburg Kennedy; Rock and Cora Brewer Stone all preceded him in death.

A 1968 graduate of DeWitt High School, Danny loved DeWitt history and the DeWitt Dragons, remembering details of the Sam Cook Football era. He also loved reconnecting with friends and sharing old photos on Facebook and was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church of Stuttgart.

He is survived by a daughter, Glenda Henley of Stuttgart; Four grandchildren; Five great-grandchildren; Mitchell Ellenburg Kaubisch, and several Stone and Ellenburg cousins.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Cathy Adams and the staff at Forrest Manor who cared for Danny the last 5 years.

Family will hold a Memorial Graveside Service at 11 am, Saturday, April 13 at Bayou Meto Cemetery near Dewitt.
