Bobby T. Hudson, 67, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000.

Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. today in St. Stephen United Methodist Church with Dr. Jim Smith officiating. Private burial will be in Llano Cemetery by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd.

Mr. Hudson was born in Memphis and grew up in Amarillo. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1952 and joined the Army in 1953, serving during the Korean War. He later attended Amarillo College and West Texas State College, graduating in 1957.

He taught at Horace Mann Junior High School from 1958 to 1960. He was an instructor and coach at Amarillo College from 1960 until retiring in 1990.

Mr. Hudson was a member of the Amarillo Retired Teachers Association, St. Stephen United Methodist Church and the Bridge Builders Sunday school class.

He married Louise Rodgers in 1954 at Amarillo.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Amy Griffith of Amarillo; four sons, Robert Hudson, Rodger Hudson, Ronnie Hudson and David Hudson, all of Amarillo; two sisters, Patsy Lawrence and Mary Ann Gatlin, both of Amarillo; and 14 grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to St. Stephen United Methodist Church or the Amarillo College Scholarship Fund.
