Boring resident June Barnes died on March 15, 2019. She was 90.
She was born, June Loraine Taylor in La Crosse, Wisconsin to Ray and Eunice Taylor on June 6, 1928. She spent her younger years in La Crosse, Wisconsin and the family moved to Oregon in 1941. They lived in Tualatin and June grew up surrounded by seven Brothers and Sisters and her parents. June married Robert Adele Barnes in Portland on February 25, 1946. They were married for 55 years until Robert died in July, 2001. They had four children and raised them in Tualatin. June liked to sew, crochet and knit. She was also a wonderful baker and cook. She could make anything. She enjoyed square dancing too. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Most of all she loved her family.
She loved to give and it was always from the heart. She loved very easily and drew love to her. She will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert, both parents and six of her siblings. She is survived by her son Bob Barnes of Boring; her daughter Karen Dietz of Beaverton; her sister Mildred Miller of Wisconsin; her grandsons Joseph Barnes of Boring and Steven Barnes of Houston TX. A funeral Service was held at the LDS Church in Boring, Oregon on Friday, March 22, 2019 at 1 PM and she was buried at Lincoln Memorial Park in Portland, next to her beloved husband. Sandy Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
