Daniel Walter Haase Sr. was taken from us on Thursday, March 21st, 2019.
He was a beloved and devoted husband and father, admired by family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, nee Doan of 55 years. He was the loving father of Tammy Lee (Geoffrey) Allen, Robert Charles (Kimberly, nee Wiening), Daniel Walter Jr., and Jeannine Marie (David) Clark. Cherished grandfather to Adrienne (Kevin) Hark, Amanda, Angelina (Kennina, fiancée), Adam (Elizabeth, nee Benes), Christopher, Marcus, Robert Jr. (Rosario, nee Chavez), Roy, Steven, Vivian, Nicholas, Annalisa, Jessica, Rachael and Megan. Proud Great Grandfather of Finnegan, Scarlett and Riley. Proud Godfather to Brandon Allen. Fond uncle to many nieces and nephews. Brother to Carleen and Alan (Lynda, nee Shanley).
Dan was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was an honest and hardworking man of great moral character and high integrity. In his early years he was an auto and diesel truck mechanic, and later, an over the road truck driver. He was very proud of a third career later in life as a security guard and was still working in January of 2019. He was also a fireman and served on the Elk Grove Township, Streamwood and Lombard fire departments. Dan loved life and his beautiful family. Cancer took him from us way to soon, but he passed quickly and painlessly and for that we are grateful. He will be truly missed by all.
On March 24th, a private memorial and celebration of Dan’s life was held at his home.
