Lonnie Anderson was born in Cushing, Oklahoma on May 28, 1959 to Ronald Jay Anderson and Judith Daugherty Anderson. He passed from this life in Cushing on April 2, 2019 at the age of 59 years, 10 months and 5 days.
Lonnie was raised and educated in Cushing and was a 1976 graduate of Cushing High School. He married Susan Jo Minton in Cushing on January 30, 1982 and they had four children. They made their home in Drumright for many years.
Lonnie had mostly worked as a pipeline worker for Texaco and was a Texaco Ambassador. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and fixing up old cars, especially Camaros. However, the joy of his life was spending time with his family and raising his children. He loved coaching his kids in sports and many other school activities.
He was preceded in death by a son, Josh Anderson in 2011 and a brother, Shane Anderson.
His remaining family includes his three daughters, Whitney Anderson of Perkins, Cheyanne Roberts of Oregon and Ribbin Dorado of Oklahoma City; his parents, Ronnie and Judith Anderson of Cushing; granchildren Landon, Dalton, Ah’Nya and Legend; brother Steve Anderson of Cushing and several other relatives and friends.
Interment in Euchee Valley Memorial Park at Cushing, Oklahoma. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Michael’s Funeral Home of Drumright.
