Ms. Wanda Jean Allen James, 52. a resident of Birmingham, Alabama passed away on Friday, March 29, 2019 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. from the chapel of Brookside Memorial Gardens. Ms. James worked for Baptist Healthcare in Montgomery, Alabama for eighteen years and most recently for Huntsville Healthcare System in Huntsville, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Lee Allen and Patricia Ann Duncan. She is survived by her son, Matt James of Birmingham, Alabama; daughter, Ashley Burgin (Jeremy) of Millbrook, Alabama; sisters, Karen Raines (John) of Jackson, Mississippi, Kim Duncan of Millbrook, Alabama; grandchildren, MacKenzie Burgin, Lynzie Burgin and Carlie Burgin, all of Millbrook, Alabama and several nieces, nephews and great nieces.
Pallbearers will be John Raines, Richard Raines, Jay Bush, Austin Puckett, Lance Eiland and Adam Boatfield. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 1, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
