RONALD MAURICE CURTIS, better known as "Rock or Ronnie" to family and close friends, was called home on March 11, 2019.
Ronnie was born in Baltimore, MD on November 3, 1952 to the late Jeans Delores Butler and Ernest Spencer Plater.
Ronnie graduated from Chopticon High School in St. Mary's County where he was raised.
Ronnie loved being around his family, Ronnie also had a passion for basketball and was proud to let it be known that he played for the "Charlotte Hall Rockets".
Ronnie also enjoyed playing "Tunk" while talking trash. Ronnie also loved to cook and was good at it. Ronnie was also skilled in roofing/construction and was proud to say he took part in the building construction in downtown Baltimore. Ronnie loved his daughters and would always boast and brag about them.
Ronnie is survived by his daughters Lakiesha and Tiesha Curtis, and a bonus daughter, Staci Owens; a lifetime partner Susan Owens; grandson Amari Alexander and his bonus granddaughter Kaidyn Hunter.
Also surviving are his siblings Josephine Dallas, Joemane Stone, Lorraine Briscoe, Gloria Plater, Preston Plater and Leroy Plater; uncles Joseph Woodland "Annie Lee" and George Curtis.
Preceded in death by his siblings Joseph Plater, Wilbert Plater, Marvin Plater, Ernest Plater Jr., Althea Butler Jr. and a host of friends.
