Martha (Meyer) Wobken was born May 11, 1890, on a farm north of Hooper to Herman and Elise (Brockshus) Meyer. She was married March 2, 1916, to Henry Wobken. They lived on a farm north of Scribner until 1946 when they retired and moved into Scribner. She died May 15, 1964, in a West Point hospital after a two-week illness. Funeral service was on May 18, 1964, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church east of Scribner with burial in the church cemetery.
