David Vance, 75, returned to his heavenly home on April 2, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. His firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.

David was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on July 10, 1943 to the late William and Mildred Vance. He was the youngest of seven siblings. He served as a Sargent in the US Air Force stationed in San Antonio. It was there that his daughter, Davine Jo was born. After he left the military, he moved to Houston, TX to start his career in the oilfield industry. In Houston, his son David Joseph Jr was born. The family eventually settled in Conroe, TX and became active in the Assembly of God church. David was passionate about witnessing for Jesus Christ. He was a kind and generous man and always willing to lend a hand to someone in need. David is survived by his daughter Davine Ziemba and husband Russell, son David Vance and wife Neile. Grandchildren Monica Houts and husband Brent, Jonathan Vance and wife Sydney, Mason Baughman and wife Haley, Jonah Vance, Joseph Vance, Grace Vance and six great-grandchildren.

David will be laid to rest at Brookside Funeral Home and Memorial Park at 2pm on Saturday, April 13th. Reverend Dowen Johnson will officiate the service.
