Funeral services for Michael Anthony-Terry Harrell will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 5, 2019 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Grayson, LA with Pastor Bonnie Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Baptist Church Memorial Cemetery, Grayson, LA under the direction of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 5, 2019 from noon until time of service at the church.

Brother Michael Anthony-Terry Harrell was born on August 30, 1959 to the late Nathaniel and Leneva Harrell. Michael departed this life on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 10:30 PM at the Northeast Louisiana War Veteran's Home in Monroe, LA.

He confessed his belief in Jesus Christ at an early age and was baptized and joined the Cedar Grove Baptist Church, where he remained a faithful member all his life.

Michael began his education journey at the Union Central Elementary School and graduated from Caldwell Parish High School in 1977. He continued his education at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA and Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe, LA earning his Associate, Bachelor, and Master Degrees. While at NLU Michael pledged Phi Beta Sigma, Inc. and even co-chartered the graduate chapter.

After college, Michael enlisted and served in the United States Air Force, where he received an honorable discharge.

When Michael fulfilled his military service, he began his community service for the state of Louisiana. First at the World Trade Center in New Orleans, then at the Department of Health and Hospitals and finally at the Louisiana Workforce Commission totaling over 20 years of dedicated service.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Nathaniel and Leneva Harrell and one sister, Linda Harrell.

His loving memories will be cherished by three brothers: John Harrell and James Harrell of Grayson, LA and Herman Harrell of Milwaukee, WI; two sisters: Dianne Bennett and Theresa (Ralph) Engl all of Grayson, LA; three nephews: Cedric Harrell of Grayson, LA, Jonathan Harrell and Nathan-John Harrell of Milwaukee, WI; three nieces: Shonda (Joseph) Turner and Keneka Bennett of Monroe, LA and Jennifer Harrell of Milwaukee, WI; one uncle: Andy (Jacqueline) Riser of Grayson, LA and one aunt: Viola Riser Hawkins of Milwaukee, WI; two special aunts: Willie Bee Riser and Alice Riser of Grayson, LA and a host of great-nephews and nieces, cousins, friends, frat-brothers, and loving co-workers.
