ELWOOD — Dennis E. Hutson, 60, died June 8, 2007, at Beverly Living Center in Muncie.


He was born July 15, 1946, in Anderson, the son of the late Carl Hutson and the late Margaret (Girton) Hutson.

Dennis was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam.

On Nov. 20, 1965, he married Judy (Sullivan).

Dennis retired from Delphi Corp. of Anderson after 34 years of service. He also farmed all of his life.

He was a member of the Frankton United Methodist Church. A 4-H Leader for many years, he loved going to hog sales and hog shows. He also enjoyed being outdoors, farming and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife Judy (Sullivan) Hutson of Elwood; two daughters, Amy Hutson of Indianapolis and Kathy and husband David Stierwalt of Quincy, Ind.; a son, Chris Hutson wife Ashley (st.Claire) and children Kaitlyn and Luke of Frankton; five grandchildren, Wyatt, Bailey, Logan, Morgan and Cole Stierwalt; his brother, Dale and wife Laura Hutson of Upland; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home, 305 Sigler St., Frankton, officiated by the Rev. Gary Elsten. Burial will take place at K of P & IOOF Cemetery, Frankton, where military graveside rites will be conducted by VFW Post 5782.

Visitation hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to either the American Heart Association or American Kidney Association.
