Kathryn earned a degree in biology from the College of Idaho in 1988, and spent many years working as a purser in the Alaska fishing fleet. When not at sea, she enjoyed traveling, reading, gardening, antiquing, and listening to music. Kathryn will be greatly missed and remembered with love by her partner of 21 years, Rod Leonard; parents, Redmond and Gayle Sharp; grandmother, Kay Forster; aunt, Marie Passmore; uncle, Mich Forster; brother, Chris Sharp (Sue); sister, Meighan Sharp (Scott Tate); nephew, Toby; cousins, Kurt, Cam and Christie; and her many friends.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 13, at 2:00 p.m. at Kirkland Congregational Church, 106 5th Ave., Kirkland. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be given to Rolling Dog Ranch animal sanctuary (http://rollingdogranch.org/) or the Humane Society for Seattle/King County (www.seattlehumane.org ).
