Mrs. Blanche Aycock, 85, of Russellville, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at North Alabama Medical Center, Florence. A native of Lawrence County, Alabama, she had lived in the area for the past 76 years and was retired from Russellville Hospital after forty years of service as a nurse. A housewife, mother, and grandmother, she was a member of North Highlands Church of Christ.
Visitation with family and friends will be Friday, April 5, 2019 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 P.M. with Trae Durden officiating. Burial will be in Tharptown Cemetery.
Mrs. Aycock is survived by her children: Pamela Vess and husband Jerry and Jerry Aycock; grandchildren: Laura Cochran, Megan Vess, Jeremy Vess, and Jacob Aycock; great grandchild, Ashlyn Cochran; and nieces, nephews, and friends.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Billy Aycock; parents, Elvin and Ella Zills Gargis, and brother William Gargis.
Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, is directing.
