Edward Jene Duncan age 65 passed away unexpectedly on Friday afternoon, January 12, 2018 at the home of his daughter Crystal Dibble in the town of Warren. He was born on September 26, 1952 in Cooperstown, son of the late Edward J. and Rosetta Mondore Duncan. A lifelong area resident he was raised in Schuyler Lake and was educated in Richfield Springs Central School. On October 12, 1974 he was united in marriage to the former Janet Bond in West Winfield. For sixteen years Mr. Duncan was a heavy equipment operator for the town of Exeter. He retired in January of 2015.

To all who knew Ed he was a likable man who enjoyed music, fishing, WWE, scary movies and running his bulldozer. He was happiest when he was surrounded by his many friends and family, especially his cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be sadly missed.

Surviving him are his loving wife of forty years-three Janet, three sons, Kevin Bond of Burlington Flats, Kenny Duncan and Jake Duncan both of CT, two daughters and their husbands Crystal and Ryan Dibble of Richfield Springs, Melissa and Mark Ubner of Burlington Flats, three brothers, William Duncan of Burlington Flats, Earl Duncan and his wife Laurie of West Winfield, James Duncan and his companion Peggy Zvirzdin of Richfield Springs, three sisters, Rosemary Oldick of Fort Plain, Elizabeth Walsh of Richfield Springs, Betty Abrams and her husband Barry, seven grandchildren, Aaron Bryant, Alex Bond, Aiden Dibble, Finnigan Dibble, Todd Ubner and his fiancée Megan Hill, Shania Ubner and Jenna Ubner, two greatgrandchildren, Jettson Ubner and Zendeya Bond, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents Edward was preceded in death by his son Jerry L. Duncan in 2007.

Calling hours for Mr. Duncan will be on Thursday From 4:00 until 7:00 pm in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James Richfield Springs. A funeral service will follow immediately after in the funeral home at 7:00 pm with Pastor Alan Miler officiating. Interment will be later this spring in Schuyler Lake Cemetery at a time to be announced.
