April D. Mitchell ~ Carbondale

CARBONDALE April D. Mitchell (nee Feltmeyer), 55, passed away of lung cancer complications on Thursday, March 28th in Carbondale. April was the daughter of the late Gayle Bytnar, daughter in law of late Ellis & Betty Lou Mitchell. Surviving April are her children, Alexis (Adam) Ruck, Dakota (Jordan Tanner Fiancé) Mitchell, Scout Mitchell; and Tristin Mitchell. Proud Gigi of Lukas and Ava. Also surviving family members include Father, Robert Bytnar, sisters Bobbi (Eric) McCroy, Lynna (Barry) Alderson, niece Bre Bytnar, brother Butch Feltmeyer. A very dear friend Phillip Williams for always being there for April in her time of need.

April was born in DuQuoin, Illinois on January 14, 1964. April enjoyed music of all genres, art collecting, antiques, treasuring hunting at Goodwill, reading, her pets, and most of all her children and grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Walker Funeral Home in Carbondale on Saturday, April 6th between 2-4 pm.
