Mr. Roger Daniel Garner, age 69, of Buchanan, GA, passed away April 1, 2019.

He was born July 17, 1949, in Cedartown, GA, to the late Elvyn Bernard and Naomi Jones Garner.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Stewart Garner; a son, Daniel Garner; two brothers-in-law, Bob Ridley and Joe Darnell; and two step-siblings, Ray and Penny Estes, and Sylvia and Arthur Hilliker.

Roger was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed his work in the construction field. He loved having time to help his friends and family and was the driver of many friends and family members to wherever they needed to go.

He is survived by his special friend, Linda Swayzer of Buchanan; four sisters and a brother-in-law, Barbara Ridley of Buchanan, Karon and David Lambert of Alexandria, AL, Joann Darnell of Guntersville, AL, and Susan Davenport, of Arab, AL; a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Cerett Patterson, of Arab, AL; four step-siblings, Doris and Harry Bonds, Kathy McNeely, Gerald and Elaine Estes, and Ronnie and Susan Estes; two aunts, Patsy Mobley and Ruth Fambrough, both of Bremen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In accordance with his wishes, he was cremated, and a memorial service will be announced later.

Miller Funeral Home (Tallapoosa, GA) is in charge of the arrangements.
