Lloyd Ashton Rodgers, 69, of Spotsylvania passed away on March 31, 2019 at Mary Washington Hospital.

Lloyd is a war veteran for the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam. He was a very talented painter and carpenter. Lloyd enjoyed watching western films and eating chocolate with grapefruit juice. He spent much time with his children and grandchildren as a father and friend.

Lloyd’s legacy lives on through his wife of 48 years, Audrey Jean Rodgers; only daughter Patricia Lynn Price and husband John Aaron Price; sons Leonard Ashton Rodgers and wife Debbie Delores Rodgers, Kenneth Wayne Rodgers and wife Carri Lynn Rodgers, and Michael William Rodgers and wife Carla Louise Rodgers; former daughter-in-law, Debra Gooch Parsons; eleven grandchildren Autumn Faye Rios, Erika Marie Rodgers, Michaela Audrey Rodgers, Carmen Marie Rodgers, Justin Wayne Rodgers, Jonathan Aaron Price, Ashton Lloyd Price, Caden C.T. Price, Braelynn Audrey Price, Crissy Nicole and Branden Lee; mother Catherine Jewell Rodgers; and siblings Clarence Ray Rodgers and Joyce Rodgers-Wedding. He is preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Cleveland Rodgers; and brothers Thomas Robert Rodgers and Charles William Rodgers.

Lloyd lives on in our hearts as a soldier and a true hero. He will be dearly missed by all.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 4 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 5 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Keith Rodgers, Cleave Rodgers, Jerry Hopkins, Travis Hopkins, Doug Moore, and Gary D.
