Nathan Allen, age 81, passed away on April 2, 2019 in Austin.
Nathan was born August 21, 1937, to Loyd and Gertrude Allen in Belton. He graduated from Early High School. He married Linda Bell on November 18, 1987, and joined two families together as one. Nathan spent 8 years in the National Guard serving his country and worked as a roofer for Lydick Roofing. Nathan went to work for Superior cable and worked there over 29 years retiring as a Supervisor. Nathan and wife Linda owned "Under the Oaks" Beer/Wine/Guns for over 20 years. Under the Oaks was one of 5 of the last beer & guns stores operating in Texas at the time. Nathan worked hard his entire life and when he wasn't spending time with family, he was finding something to do to work and make money. He was an avid Brownwood & Early football advocate and he coached his sons little league baseball team. Although he spent much of his time working, Nathan really enjoyed time with his family.
Nathan is survived by his beloved wife Linda Allen of Early; son, Nathan and wife Debbie Allen Jr. of Houston, and Eddie and wife Pam Mann of Brownwood; daughters, Cindy Wagner of Austin, Joy and husband Billy Yonnie of Brownwood Shawna and husband Alex Juarez of Brownwood, TX; 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews & friends
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters.
