He was born February 28, 1942 in Galesburg, the son of Delford and Doris (Morey) Yeoman.
David is survived by one daughter, Denise (and Paul) Homer of Abingdon; two grandchildren, Courtney (and Dale) Bricker of Little Swan Lake, Avon and Cody (and Breanna) Windsor of Burlington, Iowa; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Larry (and Gloria) Yeoman of Wisconsin; and one sister, Karen (and Larry) Heaton of Moline.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He graduated from Abingdon High School in 1960. He served in the US Army and was stationed in Germany. He was a farmer. He was a member of the NRA. He had lived at Little Swan Lake for several years. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, working puzzles, reading, drawing and painting, drinking coffee and Coca-Cola, and watching Glenn Beck. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of his life, and he enjoyed attending their ball games.
Cremation will be accorded. Graveside service and military rites will be 3 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2019 at the Abingdon Cemetery. Jordan Knight, Hospice Compassus Chaplain, will officiate. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Abingdon Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
