Father King was born in Houston, TX, on April 17, 1940, to J.C. and Wilma King.
He attended Baylor University, and received his doctorate from Harvard University. After a lifetime in higher education, he ended his career as a Priest for St. Edward the Confessor.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Harriet; daughter Heather (Eric), son Justin (Diane); four grandsons: Alden and Mattox King; Jackson and Austin Shamp; sister Caren (Dale), brother John (Mary).
The calling will be Thursday, April 4, 4:00-7:00pm, and the funeral Friday, April 5, 10:00am. Both will take place at St. Edward the Confessor, 6361 N. Keystone Ave. Graveside services are at Crown Hill Cemetery.
