Mr. Douglas Gene Baragar Sr., aged 58, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 14, 1993 following a valiant battle with Leukemia.
Surviving are his wife, Rachel (Miller); his three children, Douglas Jr. and wife Janet, Steven and wife Becky and daughter Linda Crawford; his six grandchildren, Jordan, Zachary, Brandon, Jared, Alyssa Baragar and Nicholas Crawford; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Larry and Elaine McCauley, Lynn Baragar; his father in law and mother in law, Vernon and Ruth Miller; brothers in law and sisters in law, Clarence and Jean Dalman, Louis and HIlda Miller, Robert and Mary Mooney, Dorcas Sunderlin, Dale and Betty Hansen; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Harold and Eleanore Baragar; and sister, Nancy Wirt.
He was an employee of United Technologies Automotive, previous owner of Baragar's Garage with his father and uncle Howard Baragar. He was a US Navy veteran and also a devoted member of Faith Baptist church, having served as a deacon.
Funeral services for Mr. Baragar will be held Saturday 1:00 pm at Faith Baptist Church, 1412 - 44th SE, with Pastor Tim Gunderson and Rev. Larry McCauley officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church or Michigan Chapter of the Leukemia Society.
