Mrs. J. J. Clark Died After Lengthy Illness
Funeral services were held here Monday for Mrs. Luella Clayton Clark, 87, who died Saturday in Doctors Hospital, Poplar Bluff. She had been seriously ill for several months.
Born February 26, 1885 in Sikeston, Mrs. Clark moved from Doniphan to the Van Buren area 23 years ago. She was a member of the Christian Church at Ponder. On Jan. 6, 1942 she married J. J. Clark who died in September, 1961.
Surviving are step-sons, Rev. Milton Clark of Farmington, N.M. and George Clark of Van Buren; brothers, Thomas E. Clayton of Van Buren and Benjamin Clayton of Stillwater, Okla.; sisters, Lillie Pritchard of West Plains and Mrs. Lucy Smith of Stillwater; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Monday in the McSpadden Chapel with Rev. Ross Marshall officiating. Burial was in Van Buren Cemetery.
