Tony “Huero” Hernandez was peacefully called to be with Our Lord, surrounded by his loved ones, on November 9th, 2018. He was born on July 11, 1943 in Colorado, and grew up in San Jose until he moved to Ventura County. He was a hard-working family man, a great provider and the prime example of everything a man should be for his family. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren more than anything in this world. After working for 42 years at E.J. Harrison, he retired and was able to enjoy the family he raised. He will be remembered for being a loyal, friendly, loving man that would give you the shirt off his back. He loved riding a train to visit his brothers and other family up North, and going to the casinos. He loved sitting in Tony’s yard watching and waving as all his friends pass by. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and making salsa that was too hot only he would eat.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Emily, his brother Jesse, his sister Cleme, and his grandson Jonathon.

He leaves behind the love of his life, his wife, Roberta Hernandez; his children, Sandy Hernandez, Danny Lerma, Paul Lerma, Rosemary Alcantar, Henry Mendez (Pam), Tina Mendez (Mario), Tony Hernandez Jr. (Vanessa), Gina, Roberta Hernandez (Alfred), Melissa Alcantar (Sam), Anthony Alcantar (Cassy); his siblings, Jimmy, Jerry, Lupita, and Janie; his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous other extended family.
