Phil Goodson age 54 of Rogersville went to his eternal home on Saturday (3/30/19). He was a member of First Christian Church of Rogersville. He was formerly employed with Quebecor Printing in Church Hill, Rogersville Water Department and presently owned GreatDay Screen Printing. Phil was an avid Archer, Outdoorsman and loved traveling to compete in archery tournaments in various states. He was a member of the ASA and former Tennessee bowhunter education instructor of the year. Phil enjoyed sharing his love of the outdoors with all who he came in contact with; especially his granddaughter, Callie. He never met a stranger and always enjoyed a good laugh. He was an encourager who always saw the good in people and the beauty in God's handiwork. He was a mentor to many through his involvement with the youth, especially his former football players.

He was preceded in death by, maternal grandparents; Elmer and Beulah Fink, paternal grandparents; Wiley and Cora Goodson, and father-in-law; John P McBride.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years; Teresa Goodson, daughter and son-in-law; Bethany and Hogie Parsons, his precious granddaughter and apple of his eye; Callie-Ann Parsons, parents; Lowell and Barbara Goodson, brother and best friend; Todd Goodson, mother-in-law; Wilma McBride, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
