The celebration of life for Johnny Keith Wallace will be held at 2:00 p.m. on April 3, 2019 at Emory Baptist Church in Emory, Texas. The Lord called Johnny home on March 30, 2019. He was born on July 7, 1950 in Farmersville, Texas to J. B. and Johnnie (Combest) Wallace. He married his true love Linda Ann Roland on May 4, 1973, in Durant, Oklahoma. The loved ones he left behind and his loving wife, his precious daughter and son-in-law, Keri and Stephen Gowin, his sweet sons and daughter-in-law’s, Kade and Amy Wallace, Kody and Shantil Wallace and Keith and Charli Wallace. He also left behind his awesome 9 grandchildren, Meghan Matlock Wallace, Aubrey Gowin, Avery Gowin, Kennedy Wallace, Jaxon Wallace, Karson Wallace, Hagen Gowin, Major Wallace, Allison Wallace and older brother, Gary Wallace and numerous family members. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Boyd Wallace.

Johnny was an active member of Emory Baptist Church. He served his Country proudly in the U. S. Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a role model not only for his sons, but a host of family and friends who dedicated their lives to fire service. He retired after 26 years as a Captain of McKinney Fire Department. He was passionate about his grandkids show pigs and their dedication to 4-H and FFA. He was a home builder and has many homes built in and around Rains County, Texas, including the homes of all of his children. He was also passionate about the care he gave his “ten acre front yard.”

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 1, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hurst’s Fielder Baker Funeral Home at 107 N. Washington Street, Farmersville, Texas.

Visitation will also be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Emory Baptist Church in Emory, Texas.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Emory Baptist Church in Emory, Texas. Rev. Richard Piles and Wayne Wolfe will officiate the services. Interment will follow at Willow Springs Cemetery in Emory, Texas.
