Charles “Pete” Sherman, age 72 of New Boston, Texas passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019 at a local Hospice Center. Mr. Sherman was born February 4, 1947 in Magee, Mississippi. He was retired from Red River Army Depot, a member and deacon at First Baptist Church, New Boston, Texas, and a former assistant Chaplain at Telford Prison.He was preceded in death by his wife Erma Sherman

Survivors include one daughter, Susie DeRamcy of Simms, Texas, one son, Kane Sherman of Wake Village, Texas, three grandsons and one granddaughter in law, Joshua and Stacey DeRamcy, Grant Sherman, Thomas Sherman, two granddaughters, Julie Sherman, Noelle Sherman, two great grandsons, Jacen and Westen DeRamcy, and a number of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at New Boston First Baptist Church with Dr. Patrick Hunter officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. til 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at the Funeral Home. Interment will be Chapelwood Memorial Park, Nash, Texas under the direction of Bates Rolf Funeral Home, New Boston, Texas.
