Charles Georgeson, age 83 of Mauston, Wisconsin passed away peacefully Friday, March 29, 2019 at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Tomah, Wisconsin.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 12:00 noon at the New Lisbon American Legion Post 110 in New Lisbon, Wisconsin with Pastor Ron Davidson officiating with military honors to follow. Visitation will be held at the New Lisbon American Legion Post 110 on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon.

Charles was born January 17, 1936 in Necedah, Wisconsin the son of Edwin and Marie (Mattas) Georgeson. He was inducted into the U.S. Army in March of 1959 and honorably discharged in February of 1961.

In June of 1965 he married Evangeline “Dolly” Larson. She preceded him in death in January of 2004.

Charles was involved in gunsmithing which began as a hobby and turned into a business involving everything else with outdoor sportsmanship. He had also applied his self taught skill of welding and fabrication working for Walker Stainless Steel as a loyal employee for over 20 years. Charles enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of archery and sportsmans clubs in the New Lisbon area.

Charles is survived by a son, Randy of New Lisbon; daughters, Pam Georgeson of California and Laudean (Russ) Enderle of Lyndon Station, Wisconsin; brother, Duane (Karen) Georgeson of Necedah, Wisconsin; sister, Karen Blixt of Mauston; brother in law, Bert Bigalke of New Lisbon; sisters in law, Marion Georgeson and Susan Georgeson both of New Lisbon and Karen Georgeson of Necedah; grandchildren, Amanda (Mikhail) Reimer, Andy (Naomi Evans) Georgeson, Josh (Becky) Enderle and Matt (Lis) Enderle; and great grandchildren, Charlie Jo, Jack, Jadeyn, Evie, Mya, Gavin and one on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers, Bud, Sonny and James; and sisters, Naydean Weiland, Jeanette Robertson and Eileen Bigalke.
