She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and John Spoor of Barboursville and Robin and Richie Briscoe of Charlotte, North Carolina, and five grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Daniel (Jordan) Spoor, Sarah (Dave) Fowler, Rachel (Ryan) Ramsby, Becca Briscoe and Brad Briscoe. There are also five great-grandchildren, Reagan, Mac, Annie, Sam and Beckett, and Josie arriving in March.
She is also survived by a very special brother-in-law, Gerald Sturgeon, and many wonderful nieces and nephews, including Jimmy and Denise Evans, Terry and Priss Lusher and Brian Marshall, who were close to her.
She had a wonderful sitter who was also a very dear friend, Carolyn Bevans.
We would like to thank the staff at The Village at Riverview assisted living facility for the excellent care that she received over the last year. Also, thanks to Dr. Kathy Saber. We truly understand the "long goodbye" associated with this terrible disease and find comfort in knowing that she is now surrounded by familiar faces of her loved ones.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2017, at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, January 30, 2017, at Forest Memorial Park, Milton, by Pastor Mitch Webb.
