Rose Pishac Marek, 69, a resident of Two Rivers for the past 50 years, died at the Municipal hospital in that city early this morning after a lingering illness of two years.

Mrs. Marek has been making her home with her son Emil at Two Rivers. She was removed to the hospital last night, when her condition became grave. Funeral services will be held from the Klein and Stangel, Inc. funeral home at Two Rivers at 6:30 Monday morning and at nine o'clock from the St. Luke's Catholic church. The Very Rev. Dean C. V. Hugo will officiate and burial will be in Pioneer's Rest cemetery.

Mrs. Marek, nee Rose Pishac, was born in Bohemia on February 28, 1873 and came to the United States 51 years ago. She resided in Manitowoc for four months before making her home at Two Rivers. In 1892 she married Frank Marek who preceded her in death.

Survivors, besides her son, Emil, are five sisters, and a brother. The sisters are Mrs. Anton Lichmaner of Chicago, Mrs. Rudolph Jaboukbek of Karlin, Mich., and Anna, Barbra and Mary of Bohemia from whom they have not heard for three years. The surviving brother is Thomas Pishac, also of Bohemia. Two grand-children also survive.

The body may be viewed at the Klein and Stangel, Inc., funeral home tonight and until the time of the services. The rosary will be recited Sunday evening at 7:45.
