James Michael "Jim" Spivey, 65, of Richmond, passed away suddenly Friday, March 29, 2019 at his home.
Jim was born June 13, 1953, in Paris, Kentucky, to Vernon C. Spivey Jr. and Dorothy Mae Anderson Spivey, both of whom preceded him in death. He was a retired explosives operator at the Bluegrass Army Depot and a Vietnam veteran serving in the U S Army.
Survivors include his son, James Vernon Spivey (Hillary) of Chapin, SC; four grandchildren, Preston, Cooper, Hudson and Stella Spivey; nieces and nephews, Angela Kay Williams (Corey), Eric Spivey, Tara Martinson, Ebony Williams, Trevor Rice and Elexis Williams; several great nieces and great nephews and a host of friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mathew Tyler Spivey.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, April 29, 2019 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, with military honors.
