Diane Lynn Johnston (née Zimmerman), age 60, passed away on March 10, 2019 at her home in Taylorsville, UT.

Diane was born on June 9, 1958 to Paul Jerome Zimmerman and Eugenie Sylvia Zimmerman (née Lieberman). She married Timothy Edward Johnston on August 26, 1988. She is survived by her husband as well as her son, Robert William Johnston.

Diane was beloved by many, known especially for her zest for life and her incredible courage and positivity in the face of adversity. Her love for her family was rivaled only by her love for music and animals. She spent a lot of time on Facebook sharing these loves with others.

There are not adequate words to encapsulate a person, least of all one so extraordinary. Hers was a life full of laughter. A life full of love. A life full of loss. And through it all, she was a beacon of light to all who crossed paths with her.

Diane will be cremated, but there are no immediate plans to deposit her remains.

A celebration of Diane’s life and memory will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Murray Eagles F. O. E., 10 West 4th Avenue Murray, Utah 84107 starting at 2:00 PM. Music and merriment will follow. Please feel free to bring something to share pot luck or flowers, or to make a donation in her memory. Causes close to her heart include breast cancer, from which her mother died, and avascular necrosis, with which she lived.
