Michael D. Ball age 70 of Greenville passed away suddenly on Friday March 29, 2019. He was born in Lakeview on April 1, 1948 the son of the late Elvin J. and Rita B. (Sayles) Ball. Michael was an honor graduate of Lakeview High School with the class of 1966. After graduation he attended Central Michigan University where he majored in French and minored in history. He was a well-known face at the Greenville Meijer store where he worked 22 years before retiring in 2013. He was married on January 8, 1983 to the love of his life Kathleen Corey and they shared 36 wonderful years together. He is survived by his wife Kathleen, son Jeremy and his wife, Kaisee and grandson Brady of Davison MI. and also survived by his brothers, Monte (Linda), of New Philadelphia, OH, Lloyd of Morley, MI and Bruce of Ann Arbor MI, a special niece Morgan Donegan and by his brother-in-law Bill Corey. Funeral services will be held on Thursday April 4, 2019 at 11 AM from Greenville Church of The Nazarene (10087 S. Greenville Road), with Pastor Tim Deshaw officiating. A luncheon will be served following the service. A visitation will be held Wednesday April 3, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville.
