Carolyn L. (Lewis) Stover 78, went to be with the lord on March 22, 2019 in her home surrounded by her family and loving husband at her side.
Carolyn L. (Lewis) Stover was born December 10th 1940 to Glenn B. Lewis and Gladys (Stagger) Lewis in Nowata, Ok. Carolyn was the baby of four daughters.
Carolyn was born and raised in Nowata, Ok. She enjoyed helping her dad in the fields, playing softball and roller skating at the skating rink in Nowata, Ok in 1957 where she would meet Earnest there. On May 10th 1958 she married the love of her life Earnest R. Stover and become Carolyn L. Stover. They made their home in Nowata where they raised four children and shared an amazing life together for 60 years.
Carolyn pursued a career in the medical field where she became a CNA and CMA where she was employed at the Nowata Hospital, as well as Osage Nursing Home.
Carolyn was a dedicated mother and wife, who adored her family and spending time with them. She gave every grandchild a special nickname that sticks with them even today. She enjoyed watching all the generations play sports and was the biggest cheerleader.
Carolyn loved cross word puzzles, talking on the telephone, and visiting with friends. She was a huge fan of camping and did it as often as possible. Going to garage sales with her family was another great joy. Carolyn is a member of Hillside Christian Church and loved the Lord dearly. She always had a welcoming home along with a house full of grand kids.
She is survived her husband Ernie R. Stover of the home; four children: Wesley R. Stover and wife Debbie of Alluwe, Sharron S. Hider of Nowata, Sandra L. Lowe of Nowata, Shelia Guthrie of Nowata. one sister: Pansy Sebert; Eight grandchildren: Scott L. Stover and wife Tiffany of Nowata, Kenny R. Stover and wife Jennifer of Nowata, Shawna Trotter and husband Shane of Nowata, Steven “Chigger” Humphries and wife Jami of Nowata, Jarrett Gilmore of Nowata, Courtney Berry of Nowata, Amber Marshall of Bartlesville, Brianna Marshall of Nowata, Fifteen great grandchildren, three great great-grandchildren and one on the way.
She is proceeded in death by her parents Glenn B. Lewis and Gladys (Stagger) Lewi, one son: Steven Stover and two Sisters: Betty Nicholson and Patsy Voris Lagrand.
