Geneva Agatha Quiring was born March 24, 1929, to Abraham and Katharina Quiring in Mountain Lake, Minnesota. Frieda (Toews), Sam, and Adeline (Friesen) welcomed their baby sister. She accepted Christ and was baptized at First Mennonite Church in her early years. She graduated from Mountain Lake High School in 1947. She married Waldo Stoesz in 1949 and embarked on what would become nearly seventy years of wedded bliss. Throughout their married life, Geneva and Waldo loved to travel whether it was in state, out of state or out of country. They practiced an open door policy where anyone and everyone was welcome. Geneva was an excellent cook, and no one ever left hungry.

Above all else, Geneva was a woman of faith. If you spent
any time with Geneva, you would soon be introduced to Jesus. Geneva generously gave her time, money, and talents to further the kingdom. Geneva loved nothing more than being surrounded by her loving family, and peacefully
passed away surrounded by loved ones on March 30, 2019.

She is survived by her husband, Waldo; daughter, Miranda Stoesz; son, Merlin (DeeAnn) Stoesz and children Joshua, Jenesa, and Josiah; son, Burton (Karin) Stoesz and children Annie, Elijah, Levi, and Abraham; and daughter, Bonita (Tedd) Thelen and children Logan, Marissa, and Madison.
