MACPHEE, Alex Norman

Born August 16, 1919 South Uist, Scotland ~ Died December 6, 2007 Vermilion, Alberta Came to Canada with his parents in 1924 as part of the Great Scottish Immigration. Settled in the O'Haton district then moved to the Rusylvia District in 1935. Married Steva Harasiuk October 26, 1948. Predeceased by their son Robert, his parents Hugh and Christina (MacQueen), many dear friends especially John and Curly MacPhee, Peter and Paul Joemack, Bill and Mary Charchun, and Michael and Matt Harasiuk. Farmer, World War II Veteran, loving husband and father, Census Commissioner, man of all trades, salesman of Watkins, Fuller Brush, and honey. Man of strong Catholic faith, Member of Knights of Columbus, Royal Canadian Legion, President of Clan MacPhee of Alberta. Fluent in Gaelic of the Outer Hebrides of Scotland (a dying language). "May God have mercy on his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed. Amen"
