“The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him.” ~Proverbs 20:7

Ronnie Morrison (78) passed away Friday, March 29, 2019. He entered his Heavenly home with his children by his side. Ronnie was the son of the late Claude Haynes Morrison and Ruby C. Morrison. He lived in Kingsport in the Sullivan Gardens Community all of his life.

Ronnie fought a long and courageous battle with Dementia for five years. Ronnie had many jobs throughout his life including working for the rescue squad, the sheriff’s department, owning a construction company and owning a used car lot. The job that he was the proudest of was being a daddy.

He never met a stranger and would give anybody the shirt off of his back. He thoroughly enjoyed helping people. He was a jack of all trades. He loved to piddle with things and saved everything because “somebody might need that sometime”. He was also quite the prankster. He loved getting one over somebody. He enjoyed going to auctions and working on old cars.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Haynes and Ruby Morrison; infant daughter, Christy Leigh Morrison; the love of his life and mother of his children, Darlene Morrison; and sister, Sandra Ruth.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, daughter, Teresa Trent (Aaron), of Sneedville; son, Chris Morrison, of Kingsport; daughter, Carrie Morrison (Jacob), of the home; grandsons, Andy Trent (Sarah), of Georgia, and Eric Morrison (Kiersten), of Jonesborough; great granddaughters, Addie Morrison and Kaylee Trent; sister, Belinda Ruble (Charles), of Morristown; several nieces and nephews; special caregiver, Holly Hamilton; and his favorite fur baby, Penny.

The family would like to thank In Home Loving Care and Amedysis Hospice for the care they provided to Mr. Morrison.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 1, 2019 from 5 to 7 PM at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home. The funeral service is to follow at 7 PM. Graveside will be held at Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at 1 PM.
