Joe Paul Herrmann, 70, of Lampasas died Dec. 3, 2018 at his home.
A private funeral service was held. Sneed Funeral Chapel had charge of arrangements.
Paul was born Dec. 6, 1947 in Lampasas, the son of Joe Davis Herrmann and Dorothy M. (Harrell) Herrmann.
He graduated from Lampasas High School in 1966 and began college at Tarleton State University. He later transferred to Texas A&M University, where he finished his bachelor's degree in 1971.
He entered law school at The University of Texas and graduated with his law degree in 1975.
Paul began working at an Austin law firm specializing in oil and gas ownership. He later moved to Houston and continued practicing law, becoming a partner in that firm.
He moved back to Lampasas and the family ranch 20 years ago.
Paul is survived by his mother; brother, George Herrmann; cousins, Lynda Gilbert, Bob Harrell, Wanda Allen, Alice Marie Cook, Linda McDonald, Tom Jackson and Jeff Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1983.
