Loyce Elizabeth Shocklee, 99, of Beaumont, died Friday, March 29, 2019, at Summer Place Nursing and Rehabilitation, Beaumont. She was born on November 22, 1919, to Leona Callie Rigsby Bell and Errol French Bell, in Baird, Texas. Loyce was a charter member of Westgate Memorial Baptist Church. She was an outstanding Christian woman who was loved by all and a wonderful mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her daughters, Mildred May of Beaumont and Martha Mangum and her husband, Paul of San Antonio; grandchildren, James May and his wife, Melissa; Robin Aulds; Heather Davis and her husband, Garett; Travis Mangum and his wife, Jessie; and Meredith Hill and her husband, Jarrett; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James D. Shocklee; five siblings; son-in-law, Allen May; and grandson-in-law, Marvis Aulds.

A gathering of Mrs. Shocklee’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with her memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at Westgate Memorial Baptist Church, 6220 Westgate, Beaumont. A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
