ANDERSON - Jerome Terrell Thompson passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 21, 2019.
Jerome was born Nov. 1, 1990, in Anderson. He graduated from Canyon State Academy in Arizona in 2008, where he was a member of the baseball team and placed No. 9 in the state of Arizona in the Three Mile Run on the cross country team. Jerome loved to have a good time with his family and friends. Jerome was blessed to have two blended families who loved him, and he loved each and everyone of them.
Jerome leaves to cherish his memories his parents, Emmett and Cynthia Thompson; birth mother, Tamekia Barclay; birth father, Jerome Braxton; five children, Jhamari Thompson, Sha'Myia Thompson, Ja'Milah Thompson, Jerome Thompson Jr. and Ja'Riylah Thompson; six siblings, Davon Johnson, Tamia Johnson, Marcia Thompson, LaToya Thompson, Donita Thompson and Tyshia Thompson; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins and friends.
Jerome was preceded in death by his grandparents, Russell Davis, Juluis Thompson, Evangelist Mary C. Fuller; aunt, Lisa Swain; uncle, Kenneth Brown; sister, Alexis Jones Robinson; and special friend, China B. Shouse.
Services will be held Thursday, March 28, 2019, at noon at Anderson Zion Baptist Church, with Pastors Samuel T. Jackson and Louis C. Jackson Sr. officiating.
Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. to noon. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
